RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has decided to suspend Saudi international defensive midfielder Khaled Aziz from playing for Al Hilal in the domestic league until the end of the season after walking out of a national team training camp.
The 26-year-old Aziz, who is considered to be one of Brazilian coach Anjoss main players, represented Saudi Arabia in this years AFC Asian Cup™.
We have studied his excuses and we have checked with the sources mentioned by the player and we have reached the conclusion that the excuses given by Aziz to leave the training camp of the national team for 15 hours without permission are baseless,SAFF vice-president Prince Nawaf bin Faisal said.
The player didnot even answer the phone calls thus his behaviour is not befitting of a professional player who also plays for the national team.
